8ft vs 10ft Backdrop: Which Size Should You Choose?
Compare our two main curved pop-up backdrop sizes for exhibitions, events, press walls, photo areas and branded presentations.
| Backdrop | Approx. display size | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| 8ft Backdrop | 2.4m wide × 2.3m tall | Smaller stands, photo calls, conferences, compact event areas |
| 10ft Backdrop | 3m wide × 2.3m tall | Wider exhibition stands, larger photo areas, stronger visual coverage |
What is the main difference?
The 10ft backdrop is approximately 60cm wider than the 8ft backdrop, while both are around the same height. That extra width gives you more branded surface area and more room for people, furniture or products in front of the display.
When should you choose 8ft?
The 8ft Backdrop Banner Stand is a strong choice where space is tighter. It suits smaller exhibition stands, conference areas, photo-call setups and event spaces where a 10ft display would feel oversized.
When is 10ft better?
Choose the 10ft Backdrop Banner Stand when you want a more dominant background, need to cover a wider wall area or expect several people to stand in front of the display at once.
Which is easier to position?
The 8ft version is easier to fit into compact spaces. The 10ft version needs more clear floor width, so measuring the venue before ordering is important.
Do both use the same style of system?
Both are curved aluminium pop-up systems with printed fabric graphics and carry cases. They are designed as portable indoor event displays.
Which should you choose for photos?
For smaller groups and compact press areas, the 8ft backdrop is often enough. For wider group shots or a more generous branded background, the 10ft backdrop gives you more usable width.
