Preparing your artwork
Everything you need to know to get the best possible print result — no technical knowledge needed!
Don't worry — we check every file before printing
If there's anything wrong with your file, we'll contact you before we print. You won't receive a poor quality print without warning. Just do your best and we'll help with the rest!
Use the right size
Create your design at the same size as your finished product. If you're ordering a 1m × 0.5m banner, design at 1m × 0.5m. Most design software lets you set a custom canvas size.
Keep important content away from edges
Leave at least 5mm of space between any text or logos and the edge of your design. This prevents anything important being cut off during finishing.
Use high resolution images
Blurry photos will look blurry when printed. Use the highest quality images you have. If your image looks sharp on screen when zoomed in, it should print well.
Save in the right format
PDF is always best for print. If you can't export a PDF, a high quality JPG or PNG works fine too. Avoid screenshots or images downloaded from the internet — these are usually too low quality.
Check your colours
Colours on screen can look slightly different when printed. Bright neons may print slightly less vivid. If exact colour matching is critical, please mention it when you contact us.
Not sure? Just send it!
Upload your file when ordering and our team will check it. We'll let you know if anything needs changing before we print — no surprises.
Accepted file formats
We accept all common file types — here's what works best:
